2 Shoes!

CHECK IT OUT.... Steve has on 2 SHOES! YEAH! The doctor gave him the go-ahead yesterday to get out of the boot and start wearing a shoe. We had to have his shoes altered by an orthopedic cobbler, who put in a 1/2" heel lift in them, but he gets to start walking in semi-regular shoes now. He's VERY excited. He'll probably be in these altered shoes for a couple weeks, then we'll have them altered again down to a 1/4" lift for a few more weeks before he'll be back to normal. But this is great news!


Speaking of shoes, I've mentioned a couple times about how the kids love to wear my shoes and clomp around the house in them. They're so in to it, they even do it with their own shoes! Here's Zach. They NEVER get the shoes on the right feet, and forget about actually undoing the velcro and putting them on right. They just push their feet in, stand on the heels and walk around, so proud that they got shoes on their feet all by themselves.

Good thing these shoes were retired last week for a new pair - the heels were squashed!

Of course the big boots are the most fun....
