Izzy's 6th Birthday Party

Today we celebrated Izzy's 6th Birthday at the World War 1 Memorial Park Petting Zoo. We couldn't have asked for better weather for the middle of November. We had snow on Monday, and rain and cold thru Wed - so my hopes weren't high. But today was gorgeous. Clear, sunny and almost 60 degrees! Perfection!

The party started with pizza, a bouncy house and feeding the animals. We brought bags of apples and carrots that the kids could feed to the goats, donkey, horse, pig, etc,

Pizza...

Bouncy house - always a kid favorite!

2 of Melissa's good friends - Ana and Michele.

The zoo then closed the animals off from the public and let our group have a private "showing". All the kids got let into the pens where they could pet the animals.

"Yeah - I'm beautiful.... for a pig!"

Steve and the donkey.

The kids had to go in groups of 5 to pet the horse. They all did pretty good patiently waiting their turns. As the birthday girl, Izzy got to stay with the horse the entire time and hold it's reins.

Then we went back into the party room to see/hold some of the smaller animals. The snake... another big hit.

A big turtle.
We also held bunnies, ferrets, guinea pigs, chinchillas....
Time for cake!

Back home to open presents.

And play with all the goodies...
