SCCA Runoffs 2009

Last week was the National Championships for SCCA. Melissa's dad won bonus points for flying from Oregon to Mass, then getting off the plane and into a car to help her drive the 3 kids 20 hours to Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI. (Steve flew there and back, so he didn't have to take the extra days off of work.)

Looking out over Elkhart Lake during the welcome party the first night.

Enjoying the hayride.

Flagging Family. End of the day after working Turn 6.

Future SCCA flaggers learning the flags.

Izzy - flagging with style.
Trying to thoroughly confuse the drivers at Turn Alpha/1.

She's black flagging the pace car as it's coming out of pit lane.

Playing with Grandpa Wiens.

Big hugs for Grandpa Introne.

3 generations of SCCA workers.

Hanging out at Turn 14.

Playing in the dirt with their cars up at Turn 7 and 8 while we watched the final qualifying.

After a long, tiring week (and hitting the bottle just a bit too hard), Zach passed out at dinner.
