Steve and I just got back from a week in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico - ALONE! My parents kept all 3 kids for the 7 nights, so we had a sort of 2nd honeymoon (Cabo was where we went on our actual honeymoon 8 years ago!) We decided we loved it so much, we bought a timeshare there, so we'll be back every year.
One thing we wanted to try this time was deep-sea fishing. We set out at 6:30am with the goal to catch marlin. What a gorgeous sunrise!
No marlin that day, but we did end up with 2 small yellow-fin tuna. We were out 5 hours, almost 30 miles from shore before we got our first bites. Both fish were hooked at the same time and reeled in in under 10 minutes. These were our only catches for the day, but it was still fun.
This was Steve's fish that he caught.
And this was mine!
Our captain let me drive the boat back to the marina when we finally called it a day.
While we were out, we saw TONS of dolphins. They were EVERYWHERE.
This is the Cabo San Lucas marina.
Our resort at sunset.
