Dinosaurs

We went to a Children's museum with a dinosaur exhibit this weekend while visiting Steve's parents. The kids had a lot of fun, after they were assured the dinosaurs were NOT real. All of the dinos were animatronics, so they moved and made sounds - which scared the kids at first. They looked pretty real-like (at least through a kid's eyes!)

Izzy trying to pull the teeth out of T-Rex's head!

ROAR!!!!

This one just makes me smile....

Big kiss for the Triceratops.

Helmet Head with the babies.

Giant T-Rex (this one was only half the size they could have been.)

First lesson in carnivores: "Why are they eating the other dinosaur?"

The rest of the museum was fun too....

This is a giant lego replica of the Manchester Mills where the museum is located - those are all legos!

Watching the train go through the lego town.

Look at all the Mommys and Emilys!

NERRC Champion

These pics are a few months old (from Jan), but still wanted to put them up. This is from the NERRC Awards Banquet (New England Road Racing Championship). Steve and our good friend Kevin. Steve took home 1st place, Kevin a not too distant 2nd.

Accepting his award! 8 years of racing and he finally won his first championship!

Steve's acceptance speech - impromptu and on the fly....

"I'd like to thank all the corner workers for throwing those inappropriate blue flags at me, my competitors for making me faster, my wife for supporting me and watching the kids while I race, and my parents for introducing me to this sport."

His trophy!

Leprechauns!

Izzy's class celebrated St. Patrick's Day today and become Leprechauns. When they arrived to school, they found the mess the naughty leprechauns had left in their classroom... chairs and tables overturned, toys on the ground, glitter everywhere. Izzy was a little caught off guard, but her quick-thinking teacher reassured her that they were gone now. Phew! Once she heard that, then she was ok going into the room!

Here's what came out at the end of the day. One naughty leprechaun... running around whispering "I'm going to make a mess in your room!" Too funny!

Berkshires

Last weekend we went to the Berkshires in Western Mass for a quick weekend getaway. We spent one afternoon at the Berkshire Museum - and the kids had a blast!

Digging for dinosaur bones.

NEMO! We found Nemo! (They did actually have clownfish in the aquarium.)

Pirhanas...

Watching the horseshow crab in the tidepool tank.

Feeling the starfish, muscles and clams.

Snakes!

Getting artsy in the drawing room.

Doing puzzles... daddy's hard at work on his own.

Dressing up like Native Americans.

Yes... that is a dead aminal's head on Emily's head! =)

Daddy with long hair.

Future blackmail photos... (sound asleep in the hotel after a long day.)
