The kids celebrated Thanksgiving at school with their Feast Days! Zach and Emily's class were all pilgrims, and Izzy's class was the turkeys. Too cute! They made beef stew, pumpkin bread and homemade applesauce that they got to eat and share with their families.

Izzy's 5th Birthday Party
HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY IZZY!
She had her party at Plaster Plus - all the kids got to pick their own plaster piece and paint it. We had 16 kids painting and making a mess that someone else got to clean up. Perfect!
Working on her masterpiece!
Playing games - while the works of art were fired and dried - the kids played duck-duck-goose, freeze dance, and hot potato.
Time for cake! (Side note: Izzy was upset when she first saw the cake because she thought they spelled her name wrong - she didn't know those were cursive z's!)

Halloween
Our 3 little tigers on Halloween. (And no - as one person asked us, we are NOT Cincinatti Bengals fans!)
ROAR!
Carving pumpkins.
Hard work.
The finished jack-o-lanterns.
Proud of their work.
Heading out to get candy.
Grandma's halloween trick - the broom is standing up all by itself. She tried it because she heard that on this day, the earth/moon/sun are in alignment and gravity intensifies to make the broom stand up. One of my science friends claims that's complete non-sense and it's just good balancing. Who knows. The broom stayed like this all day, fell the next day and we couldn't get it to do it again. Either way - it was fun.
