HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
The Intrones had our annual Thanksgiving celebration at the beach house today. It was a fun-filled, lots of food, typically loud gathering. =) Here's a few pics from our day there...

Chris and Alex (Steve's cousins) playing outside with our kids. They taught them to tackle and wrestle, and chased them all over, throwing balls and playing catch - all of which our 3 loved. For being teenage boys, Chris and Alex are GREAT playing with the little ones. And we appreciated it since it wore them out completely!

Feast Day
Tuesday at Izzy's school was Feast Day. All of the children were dressed as either Pilgrims or Indians and helped prepare a "feast" for everyone. It included stew, pumpkin bread, applesauce and juice. Here's our little Pilgrim Girl.
All the parents and siblings were invited to join in the feast.
Giving Daddy a kiss hello on seeing him at her school.
This is Izzy's new "best friend" Jessica from her class. In a weird twist, she lives on our same street - at the opposite end, and her mom used to work at Steve's company before Jessica was born and grew up good friends with the guy who hired Steve into the company when we moved to Boston - who we are still friends with. Turns out we have a ton in common, besides our daughters becoming great friends.

Izzy's 4-year Stats
Izzy had her 4-year old check up today at the doctor. It was quite a traumatic experience for her. From the moment we told her last night, she freaked out about going. Thankfully, our pediatrician said it was very common at this age, when the freak-out continued throughout the exam. Thankfully, Steve left work and came with us, so he was able to help console her. Regardless, we were able to get everything done. She is now 38" tall and 32 lbs. She's grown 2" and put on 6 lbs in the last year. She's still very much on the short side, so it's something we're continuing to monitor. As long as she averages 1-2"/year, the doctor said that's normal. She got 3 shots, which was the worst of it, but we were also able to do an eye exam, urinalysis and have her normal, eye, ear, throat, heart, and lungs checks - all looking great. So, all in all, a very healthy 4 year old!

New Carpet!
We FINALLY got new carpet in the house! Yeah! It's been on our To-Do list for a while, but we've been putting it off because of the ages of the kids, that they spill their stuff, and all that. But we got a quote, and it seemed like a good deal, so we decided to pull the trigger. Good-bye old nasty mauve, baby-stained carpet! Hello, nice, new sage-green luxury. =) The company that did it did an amazing job - their install guys did excellent work, and on top of it, they were $500 cheaper then anyone else. It makes a world of difference, and the whole house seems nicer and newer. I couldn't be happier! Anyone who's been here has heard me complain about how much I hated the old carpet.

Izzy's 4th Birthday Party
Since we were at Grandpa and Grandma's house this weekend, and they will be gone next weekend on her actual birthday, we went ahead and had Izzy's party. Here she is enjoying her birthday cupcake that she decorated all by herself.
Opening presents. At this point, Daddy is NOT videotaping the party, instead he's recording the TV and giving his running commentary on how GA Tech just beat Florida State for the first time in 30 years. At least he has his priorities straight! =)
A new school bag.

Halloween
We went up to Steve's parent's house for Halloween this year - to let the kids trick-or-treat around their neighborhood. Here's our 3 little mice...
... and right before we headed out to hit the houses. We made it to 8 homes, pretty good since the houses are a good distance apart. It was pretty funny, at night and in their costumes, we had a hard time telling them apart. We didn't know who was who!
