The Kids

Just a few fun pictures of the kids! =)

We rarely let the kids play out in our 3-season room... that's our "adults only" room. But one night we did all hang out there as a family and the kids brought pillows and blankets to camp on the floor and read books. Pretty cute!

Cuddling with mommy.
Izzy got to lick the spatula after making brownies.

Our rag-head! It's not bad enough he still carries around and chews on his burp rags, now he has to wear them on his head too!

Farmland Videos

Here's some videos of our day at Davis Farmland.

Emily with the baby calf. You can tell how good the animals are by how much it lets her touch and play with it. Notice the big "hug" at the end. This girl LOVES animals. (And btw, that's not poo on the back of her dress - its food she sat in. =)

Here are Zach and Izzy in the play-n-spray.

China-men

Melissa's parents just returned from a 3-week trip touring China. They sent the kids these hats as souvenoirs. They LOVE them. It's too funny, but they run around wearing them all the time now. Our little China men!

Davis Farmland

Last week we went to David Farmland with the Twins Club. Not only is it a huge farm with hundreds of animals - many of which just roam around uncaged so the kids can touch and play with them - they also have what's called a "zero-depth" Play-n-Spray - which is basically a huge sprinkler playground. The kids loved it, both the water and getting to play with all the animals. I took Grandma and Aunt Christina with me to help corral all of them (the kids, not the animals) - which was much needed!

One tired out little boy - when we finally left, he was asleep before we were out of the parking lot.
Checking out just a few of the animals on the farm.
A first for me! I've never seen a WHITE peacock, let alone a peacock with it's feathers fully displayed before. It was amazing.

Grandma and Grandpa's House

In between races, Steve had to fly to Tiajuana for work, so instead of hanging out at home alone with the kids, we went up and spent the week with Grandma and Grandpa. One day, we went to the mall to ride the Merry-Go-Round.

Zach, the most cautious of our children, took a little while to warm up to the idea of riding a horse that goes up and down.

Walking the mall with his papa.
Once home, these two were so tired they climbed up and crashed on Grandpa's lap.

Racing

The last two weekends we've had back-to-back races. July 5-6 we were at Pocono Raceway in PA, and this weekend were back at NHMS in NH.

Our friends (Kevin and Rene) who we paddock with have a couple dogs. Emily LOVES Maggie and Riley. She spent hours playing with them while at the track. Thankfully, they're very good dogs and she's pretty gentle with them.

Izzy's best friend at the track is Jacob (Kevin's son). The two play wonderfully together. He's almost 1.5 years older, but from the minute we arrive til we leave, these two are always together.
Someone needs a bath.... weekends at the track are known for getting filthy - and getting covered in bruises. All 3 kids have their knees, shins, even backs all nicked and bruised from climbing, running and playing.
Watching our daddys' race from the stands.

Is anyone even watching the race? =)

Checking tire pressures... Crew chief in training!
Bun head.

Playing in the trailer.

4th of July

We did our annual day at Steve's grandma's house at the beach for the 4th of July weekend. As always, there were a lot of family and friends around.

The two boys on the left are Steve's cousins - Christopher and Alexander.
At night, the fireworks are lit off over the water, so we all watched from the seawall. The kids LOVED it.
