Izzy's Christmas Wishes

This is at the end of her "concert." =)

Christmas 2008

Here's our pictures from this year's Christmas celebrations. We went to our church Christmas Eve service with Melissa's parents, then opened presents with them that night. Christmas morning, we got Santa's presents, stockings, and then packed up and drove to Steve's parents house to have Christmas there.

The family before church.

Grandma and Grandpa Wiens with their grandkids.

Playing the new 6' floor piano from Uncle Matt.

Crazy eye'd girl with the new drill.

In the morning, with the new bike Santa delivered from Grandma and Grandpa Introne....

... and the new Big Wheel they sent as well. (Since Grandpa and Grandma Introne couldn't be with us in the morning, Santa picked up their presents and dropped them off at our house.)

In our Christmas pajamas.

Who's that wild girl?

Mommy and her girls.

Coloring with the new crayons that came in her stocking.

Listening to her Hannah Montana headphones.

The NEXT Hannah Montana pop-star, giving us a performance.

The Introne kid performance. Each of those mics light up and play a different Hannah Montana song - so we heard them all, simultaneously, for HOURS! =)

Izzy demonstrating her "head-banging". =)

Snow, Children's Museum and Izzy's Christmas Program

Yesterday we took the kids to the Children's Museum of Boston. They had so much fun, and it probably tired them out so much it'll take a couple days to recover.

Here we are in the Blue Man Group section where they're making "music". This is the Introne family session.

Budding musician?

In the "Construction Zone" they climbed towers and walked through suspension bridges.

Driving a Bobcat with Grandpa.

Watch out!

Emily flying a plane. (Which is scarier - Izzy in a Bobcat, or Emily behind the controls of a plane?)

Inside the plane.

In the 'human power' section, the more you turned the wheel, the more energy you created to light things up and make things move.

Working with a real saw and wood to make a sailboat.

Using our own strength to lift our body weight.

Izzy's Christmas program at school.

Giving us the present she made.

After 12" of snow fell in 2 days.

This is our driveway - notice how low the tree branches are - it makes it hard to get out.

First Snowstorm

With expectations of up to a foot of snow tonight, here's the current view out of our front door. We've gotten about 6" since 2pm this afternoon - so we're averaging almost 1"/hour. No need to worry about a white Christmas! =)

La Sallette

Last weekend we took the kids to the La Sallette shrine to see the Christmas lights. They had a blast running around in the freezing cold looking at everything.

Our last activity of the night was a ride on the Merry-Go-Round.

First Snow

We went today to get our Christmas tree. What made it extra special was that we got our first snow of the winter as well! The kids were so excited to wake up to a white ground. It wasn't a heavy snow - maybe 1/2" dusting, but it was still plenty of fun.

Trying to find the perfect tree!

Watching them put a fresh cut on the bottom of the tree.

Back at home, playing in the snow.

Watch out!

This is right after the snowball bounced off his chest. =)

Doesn't he look like a little man? Where'd my baby go?

"Go get mommy!"

Steve: "Now, everyone line up with their snowballs, and we'll all throw at mommy together!"
