It's Halloween weekend, so the parties have begun. Today we had our Mom's Club fall party and tomorrow is the party at Steve's work. So here's some pics of the kids in their costumes. This year, we're Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Piglet.
Izzy LOVES being Pooh. She runs around with the belly wiggling away - too funny.
Our little Piglet - look at those blue eyes!
Piglet and Tigger sharing pinecones.
This is one Tired Tigger at the party this morning. The hayride and activities just wore him out (not to mention staying up late to watch the Red Sox take the first 2 games of the World Series... or wait - is that mommy and daddy who are so tired?)
Grandma and Grandpa came with us to the pumpkin patch and hayride this morning.
Sharing a pretzel snack.

Mystic Seaport (CT)
Our last adventure while Kellie was here was down to the Mystic Seaport in CT. It has old fishing and whaling vessles, a 19th century working village and all sorts of other attractions and activities to explore.
There's a kids play area with pint-size boats for them to crawl in and around on. Of course, our 3 didn't want to leave!
"Who's driving this boat?"
"I'm the Captain of this ship!"

New England Aquarium
On Monday we went to the New England Aquarium in downtown Boston. Again - the kids had a blast, particularly Izzy checking out all the fishes, penguins, seals and everything else they could see. Here she is with the jelly fish.
Zach and Emily loved the penguins! Emily had a blast trying to imitate their honking sound.
There was a kids play area, where we could let Z&E out to run around, and one wall was part of the giant fish tank - so the kids could get up close to see everything.

Red Bull Soap-box Derby
Red Bull hosted their soap-box derby in downtown Providence at Brown University this weekend, so Kellie and I went to check it out with the kids. Lots of crazy costumes and even crazier derby cars - but it was fun.
Kellie and Izzy looking at pictures on the camera.
This is the Izzy scream face. I tell her she can't scream inside, so when she does it outside, I sort of have to let it go....
Zach has discovered the joys of drinking juice from a cup!

Hayride at the pumpkin patch
Newport, RI
One of my really great friends from college - Kellie - flew out to visit for the week, so we've been off sight-seeing all over New England while she's here. In these pictures, we went down to Newport, RI and toured some of the old mansions. Here we are Rosecliff, with the ocean in the background.
Mommy and the kids on the "Cliffwalk" behind all the mansions.
Kellie got her work-out lugging Emily around on the tours. (I got to carry Zach!) Izzy walked and did great - no priceless antiques fell prey to her!
In the backyard of one of the mansions, Izzy decided to do a little posing.

Emily walking
Here's Emily taking her first steps - she's off and walking now!
This is her Frankenstein walk - arms straight out in front of her!
