Race weekend

Steve raced a triple event this weekend at NHIS (New Hampshire International Speedway). Here's a few pics from the weekend. He had his best races ever - 2 5th place finishes, and 1 7th place (out of 25 cars!) He was gridded 4th - his highest ever, for one race, and was even running in 3rd at one point as well. YEAH!

Izzy and Daddy at our paddock.

Daddy's funny!

Our on-site daycare tent. =)

We always paddock with the same group of people - Kevin drives the green car and brings his wife and their 3 kids (who Izzy LOVES playing with all weekend.) Steve's car is in the middle. And Joe, who drives the black car, and his wife are on the other side.

Kevin and Rene bring their BIG motorhome, and we all set up camp together. This weekend, it was in the 90's, so I brought a blow-up pool to keep cool and the kids loved it.

The other side of our paddock area. (That's Kevin and Rene's golf cart on the side, and our tent.)

5 Kids Makes a Mad House

Megan came over today with Barrett and Elaina - so we had 5 kids running around. It was nice outside, so Izzy and Barrett played with buckets of water while the babies sat in strollers and watched. We came inside for lunch, and it was a madhouse with all of them running around. Steve happened to call home, and asked "what the heck is going on there?" with all the noise in the background! What fun!

All 5 munchkins at play in the kitchen.

Barrett and Isabelle enjoying lunch at the kids table. We're going to miss them so much when they move to Georgia next week. =(

Elaina and Emily - born a day apart, but Emily was 5 weeks early and already weighs almost a pound more then Elaina! Elaina, on the other hand, is practically walking already.

The park

Izzy's favorite activity at the park is the swings. She's yell "go higher, mommy, go higher - I need a big push!"

The toddler swings work well even for Zach and Emily - they can both fit in, back-to-back, and have fun.

This is from our last race - they fell asleep while Steve was driving. Maybe the roar of the racecar engines (dulled by their earmuffs), lulled them to sleep. =)

Grandma got stuck one night when they BOTH fell asleep on her. She couldn't move without waking one, so she just sat there till we rescued her.
